"You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with."
says motivational speaker, Jim Rohn.
If that were true, then boy, am I glad I spend most of my time with these awesome ladies.
One of the biggest blessings that came with my marrying BJ was meeting his wonderful friends and building my own friendships with them. Intelligent, beautiful and kind-hearted women I got along with almost instantly.
We'd have 5-hour long lunches, talking about any random thing under the sun, just like the true titas that we complain we have now all become! Haha! And as newly minted titas (what are the qualifications ba talaga?!), our topics for discussion cover weight gain, diets, new workouts, sales, food, and household hacks.
Of course, these days, there are more "sterilizers" and "baby carriers" thrown into the pool of topics as more and more of the barkada turn into mommies. (My answer to the incessant "When are you going to have a baby?" (Grrr...) on another post. Clue: Not today, guys. Haha!)
This beautiful cake by Nicola Santiago of Nadine's Cakes was just too pretty to eat!
But what I love most about this group of girls is the emotional support that is always always available whether it be through What's App, or over merienda, whether it be helping you deal with your emotions as a new wife and homemaker, or a new mom, or simply listening to your random rants and issues. You can always expect sound advice (and prayers) from these level-headed ladies. :)
One of the things we like doing as a group is organizing pretty get togethers. So we threw our good friend, Roberta, a ballerina baby shower! Roberta is a ballerina and I've always admired the way she moves, stands, and even argues! Hehe! Always so graceful! And we know she's just going to pirouette through motherhood. :) New mommy peg!
Anyway, just wanted to share these photos with all of you! Everything was so pink and dainty I could cry. I had just gotten a new lens for my camera and was super excited to use it. Hihi! Here are some of the photos!
